Restoring Beauty
In 1926, the Sisters of Notre Dame contracted with Earl Edward Sanborn,
artist and craftsman in stained glass from Boston,
to design and install the twelve windows in the Notre Dame du Lac chapel. The total bill was $7,800.
Since that time, the windows have deteriorated to the point where they need major restoration.
In 2010, Notre Dame du Lac contracted with
local company Thomas P. Egan, Inc. to
restore these beautiful windows at
an estimated cost of $140,000.
How You Can Help
We appreciate your help in reaching our monetary goal.
All funds will go towards paying for the restoration of these glass treasures.
- Participate in one of the fundraisers held during the campaign
- Purchase a window in honor/memory of someone ($10,000)
- Tell a friend of Notre Dame about our Windows to the Soul Campaign
- Purchase a leaf for $250 on our Memorial Tree
- A donation of any amount is graciously accepted and recognized in a donor book in the chapel. Sisters of Notre Dame will pray for the intentions of all donors.
